Updated travel measures

Across Europe, national governments have taken restrictive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in order to protect its citizens and their livelihoods. As the situation is changing fast, so is the response by the EU’s Member States. This tool will enable you to plan your travels within Europe, with health and safety at the forefront.

The Re-open EU tool provides a frequently updated overview of the situation in European countries. It also states the various restrictions in place in each country, including entry requirements, testing facilities, mobile contact tracing and warning apps, as well as rules for museums, entertainment facilities, cafes and restraunts, etc. It is available for all travellers entering and travelling between all European countries.

How does it work?

To see the health and safety measures in place in different countries, choose the Measures in place drop down tab and scroll down to the country you are enquiring about and press Go. This will show the health situation, coronavirus measures and travel information of a country.

To see the rules for travelling in a country, select the Travel Plan drop down menu, choose your country of departure and destination country and press Go. This will display travel advice specific to the country you are travelling from and the country you are travelling to and is based on the most up-to-date data and criteria from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDE)

All information is available in 24 languages and updated regularly so you can be fully aware of the COVID-19 situation in each country.
