This site, designed and operated by Digital Spring (Data Processor), on behalf European Travel Commission (the Data Controller).

As such, the site is represented as a Digital Spring product and the Privacy Policy below applies.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use a Digital Spring sites, services, mobile applications, products, and content (“Services”). It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. Our aim is not just to comply with privacy law but to do all we can to surpass it, to ensure you have all the information you need to give consent.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT & HOW WE USE IT

Digital Spring use cookies to re-target your device with relevant advertising. We use industry standard technologies such as Google DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM) and DoubleClick Bid Manager (DBM). These services are covered by the Google services terms, no data is held by Digital Spring in regard to this, non-personally identifiable data. Digital Spring cannot identify you personally, nor do we use technology to do so.

In order to give you the best possible experience using Digital Spring services, we sometimes collect information from your interactions with our services. Some of this information, we collect based on actions you take while using our services, such as the pages you access and the interactions with our products and content (clicking to view a new page or how long you spend reading the content). This information is not held on Digital Spring servers, we use third-party products such as Google Analytics to work out these metrics.

We use these analytics information to generate aggregated, non-identifying information about how people use Digital Spring services and to help our clients understand if the content served with us is effective.

INFORMATION DISCLOSURE

Digital Spring will not transfer personal information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We do use Google DoubleClick products to retarget advertising to your machine, based on the services you have consumed and their use of the cookie data is covered in their cookie policy

DATA STORAGE

Digital Spring uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Amazon, for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run our services. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs. By using Digital Spring Services, you authorise Digital Spring to transfer, store, and use your information in the United Kingdom and any other country where we operate.

When we ask for your personal data, we will always actively inform you of what the data will be used for, who will use it and where it will be stored. You will always have the opportunity, at the time of entry, to decide on which of our partners can use the data in the future.

When we pass your data to these partners, we will show you their Privacy Policy and we will also do all we can to check how they will protect and use your data.

THIRD-PARTY EMBEDS

Some of the content that you see displayed on Digital Spring services, is not hosted by Digital Spring. These “embeds” are hosted by a third-party and embedded in products. For example: YouTube or Vimeo videos. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a Digital Spring Lightbox with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity). Digital Spring does not control what data third parties collect in cases like this, or what they will do with it. So, third-party embeds on Digital Spring products are not covered by this privacy policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.

Always make sure you understand who you are submitting your information to and what they say they plan to do with it. We suggest that you do not submit personal information to any third-party through an embedded form unless you can clearly see the companies that will be using it and can find out how they will look after it.

TRACKING & COOKIES

We use browser cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you return to our Services. We do this to make the products easier to use or to allow us to retarget relevant offers and advertising to you. Some third-party services that we use to provide the Digital Spring Services, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Policy covers use of cookies owned by Digital Spring only and not the use of cookies by third parties.

MODIFYING OR DELETING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Digital Spring uses third-party products to enable advertising tracking and re-targeting. Digital Spring does not hold this data, our third party vendor does, in this case, that is Google. If you want to remove the cookies we may have used on your computer, you can delete your browser cookies. The next time you see Digital Spring content, we will ask for your consent to use cookies. You can decide how to proceed at this point.

DATA SECURITY

We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.

Changes to Privacy Policy

As stated above, this policy may change from time to time so we recommend that you check it regularly. Your continued use of our website after the posting of any changes will constitute your acceptance of those changes. If we are going to use any personally identifiable information in a manner that is materially less restrictive from that stated in our Privacy Policy at the time we collected such information, we will either attempt to obtain your consent before implementing the change or, in the absence of your consent, the new policy will not apply to information collected prior to the change.

BUSINESS TRANSFERS

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of assets such that your information would be transferred or become subject to a different privacy policy, we’ll notify you, if we have your contact details, in advance.
