Ireland welcomes vaccinated visitors
Vaccinated visitors to Ireland are allowed quarantine free entry from July 19
No quarantine for EUDCC holders
From the 19th July, the borders to Ireland will be open once more. All EU and non-EU travellers to Ireland must provide either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival into the country. All passengers will be asked to provide evidence of vaccination or a negative result before boarding the airplane or ferry from the country of origin and will be denied boarding if they cannot produce such evidence. On arrival into Ireland, passengers will again have to provide a valid vaccination certificate or negative PCR test to Irish immigration officers to be allowed entry into the country. Children aged six and under are exempt. However, children aged between 7 and 18 who have not been vaccinated must provide a negative PCR test prior to entry.
Face masks are still mandatory in all indoor public spaces and on public transport, including buses, trains and taxis. Masks are also required for those travelling together in a private vehicle who are not from the same household. Children aged six and under, and those with disabilities or respiratory illnesses are exempt from this rule. Despite the relaxation of the rules, it’s still mandatory that face masks must be carried at all times
Discover Donegal’s Slieve League, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe
Stand atop Slieve League Cliffs, some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, and look out at the very same views as kings and queens from centuries past. Located along Country Donegal’s craggy southwestern coast, the rugged 600-metre-high cliffs are less well-known than the Cliffs of Moher, yet enjoy magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean. Stop by Malin Beg, a tiny Gaelic village home to Silver Strand beach, a dramatic horseshoe-shaped sandy bay.
